Filter cylinder, as the name implies, is a kind of cylinder used for filtering elements, generally divided into filter cylinder used to filter gas and filter liquid.

Commonly referred to as the filter cylinder is mostly used to filter dust containing gas, we call it dust filter cylinder (hereinafter referred to as the filter cylinder), generally composed of sealing ring, end cover, skeleton and folded filter material, end cover and filter material with glue bonding. The sealing ring is generally made of epdm, and the end cover and skeleton are generally made of metal. The materials are galvanized and stainless steel, and the skeleton of slender filter cylinder can also be made of plastic.

Filter cylinder is a surface filter element, which USES mesh breathable tissue formed on the fiber surface of filter material to intercept particulate matter in gas.

Common filter cartridge filter material has wood pulp filter paper and polyester fiber non-woven fabric, its quantitative index is generally expressed by how many grams/square, such as 240 grams/square meter, is to point to a square of filter material weight of about 240 grams.

The size of the flower-plate hole of the filter cylinder installation depends on the installation mode. Generally, the diameter of flower-plate hole of the upper filter cylinder is larger than the outer diameter of the end cover at the bottom of the filter cylinder, and the diameter of flower-plate hole of the lower filter cylinder is smaller than the inner diameter of the end cover at the top of the filter cylinder.

High pressure gas pulse back blowing and mechanical vibration are commonly used in the cleaning of filter cylinder. Pulse backblowing is to use the preset parameters of the controller to give the solenoid valve a signal, instantly open the solenoid valve diaphragm, so that high pressure gas into the spray pipe, use the rapid expansion of gas to shake off dust on the surface of the filter cylinder, the general gas pressure we set at about 4 to 6 kg. Mechanical vibration cleaning is often used in small single-machine filter cylinder dust remover, which USES the eccentric device on the flower plate of the dust remover to generate chattering power to clean dust.

The design wind speed of filter cylinder is a key parameter, which is related to the operation effect of the whole dust collector. Generally speaking, we suggest that the design wind speed of wood pulp filter paper should not exceed 0.6m/min, and the recommended design wind speed of polyester non-woven fabric should be about 1m/min. Of course, we also need to consider the specific characteristics of dust.

In recent years, a new type of plate filter element has appeared. Its structure is characterized by short folding width design of filter material, and the filter material is arranged in a flat shape on both sides of the air outlet. The filter material supports each other to form a filter chamber.
